r79 r82 17 17 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% 18 18 \subsubsection{\tima} 19 The TIMA laboratory ("Techniques of Informatics and Microelectronics 20 for integrated systems Architecture") is a public research laboratory 21 sponsored by Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, UMR5159), 22 Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble-INP) and Université Joseph Fourier 23 (UJF). 24 The research topics cover the specification, design, verification, test, 25 CAD tools and design methods for integrated systems, from analog and 26 digital components on one end of the spectrum, to multiprocessor 27 Systems-on-Chip together with their basic operating system on the other end. 28 29 Currently, the lab contains 124 persons among whom 60 PhD candidates, and runs 30 32 ongoing French/European funded projects. 31 Since its creation in 1984, TIMA funded 7 start ups, patented 36 inventions 32 and had 243 PhD thesis defended. 33 34 The System Level Synthesis Group (25 people including PhDs) is 35 involved in several FP6, FP7, CATRENE and ANR projects. 36 Its field of expertise is in CAD and architecture for Multiprocessor 37 SoC and Hardware/Software interface. 19 38 20 39 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
