     1EPFL is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. It has three core missions : training, research and technology transfer. Associated with several specialized research institutes, the two Ecoles Polytechniques (Institutes of Technology) form the EPF domain, which is directly dependent on the Federal Department of Home Affairs. 13 complete study programs, from Bachelors to Masters, are offered in Engineering, Basic Sciences, Information Technology and Communication, Life Sciences, as well as in the field of Construction, Architecture and the Environment. With over 350 laboratories and research groups on campus, EPFL is one of Europe’s most innovative and productive scientific institutions.
     2The academic partner is the Microelectronic Systems Laboratory (LSM) of the EPFL (http ://lsm.epfl.ch). The LSM operates as a part of the Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEL), concentrating its activities on the design and implementation of high-performance digital and mixed-signal VLSI circuits, language-based modeling and verification of SoC and multi-physics components, neuromorphic/bio-inspired system architectures, and integration of novel technologies for complex system design.
