Title: "Behavioral Modeling and Simulation of RF Transceivers".
Abstract:
In order to generate a first-time right design, system level modeling and simulation is a major step. Thus, performance evaluation of integrated wireless systems requires the development of RF behavioral models compatible with the microelectronic design tools. Firstly, the need of such models within the RFIC Top-Down design flow is demonstrated. Then, classical modeling techniques are presented with a stress on the behavioral description level. Finally, several case studies related to the use of behavioral modeling within different phases of the design flow are presented. Those case studies include a UHF RFID system level optimization issue and an RF Satellite Transceiver validation example.
Biography:
Rami Khouri received his Electrical Engineering and M.Sc degrees from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP Grenoble) in 2003, and his Ph.D. in RF and mixed-signal modeling and design methodologies from the same Institute in 2007. He is currently a Post-Doc research fellow at the Laboratoire d'Electronique, Antennes et Télécommunications (LEAT) of the Université de Nice.
His research interests include heterogeneous system design, RF microelectronic modeling and simulation tools and antenna design.
